Browser beta
Start drawing. Keep your idea.
Your first drawing
- Open Sketch+ and sign in with ChatGPT. A new account starts with an empty drawing. Your saved drawings belong to that signed-in account.
- Draw with the pen or choose a shape, arrow or text. Use selection to move marks; double-click text to edit it. Undo and redo are available.
- Wait for the header to say Saved. Open Drawings to return later.
- Export → Editable drawing downloads a .sketchplus file. Open saved drawing imports a separate editable copy. SVG and PNG export selected marks, or the whole drawing when nothing is selected.
Drawing and export need no xAI account or API key.
Optional images and video
- Select Generate. The current sketch or selected marks become the source. Choose Image or Video, add optional direction and adjust the settings.
- The panel prepares an estimate automatically. Add your own xAI key there. Setup and changing settings do not generate anything.
- Select Generate to approve that exact request and estimated charge on your xAI account. Progress and the completed result stay in the panel.
- Download your image or explicitly choose Save on this device or Save to my Sketch+ account. Only the receipt is saved automatically; these copies can be removed individually. Keep the tab open until you have saved the image. Video and legacy output links can expire. For an image, choose Animate this image or Use as video reference. The video uses that image and needs a new approval.
A page-only key lasts for this page. Remembering for 30 days is optional; it uses browser storage. Reloading with a page-only key requires entering it again. Read the data and cost details.
If something gets stuck
- xAI rejected the request: open key settings and select Check connection · no generation. This checks key acceptance and available models without sending your drawing or starting generation. A saved key has not necessarily been validated. Read any saved provider explanation before approving another request.
- Zero Data Retention: new image requests return base64 directly to the tab without xAI output storage. An earlier URL-format failure stays terminal; a fresh reviewed image needs a new approval. Video under ZDR requires a separate user-controlled upload destination; this beta does not provide that video route.
- Unsaved: keep the page open, check your connection, and export an editable copy before reloading.
- Video waiting for a key: add your key to check the existing request’s progress. This does not start another video.
- Uncertain submission: read Generation details. The request may have been accepted or charged. It is held rather than sent again automatically.
- Expired estimate: refresh the estimate before approval. If provider pricing needs re-verification, generation stays blocked; drawing still works.
- Missing preview: download the existing image if it is still in this tab, or reopen an explicitly saved device/account copy. An unsaved image cannot be recovered after leaving the tab; its receipt and sketch remain. A new generation needs fresh approval and can incur another charge.
- Shared device: choose Forget in key settings and sign out when finished. Forget removes the remembered key from this browser; it does not revoke it with xAI.
For a product issue, keep your browser version, the action that failed, and an exported copy you choose to share. Never include an API key. For xAI billing or account access, use your xAI account. This beta includes this help guide; no response-time or dedicated support service is promised.
Contact sevenfourone
Sketch+ is provided by sevenfourone. For product support, email hello@sevenfourone.studio. Include your browser/device, the action that failed and whether your drawing was Saved or Unsaved. Share a drawing or job identifier only if you want us to investigate that record. Never send an API key or a browser storage dump.
This beta has no promised support response time. xAI billing and provider-account questions belong with xAI. Read the beta terms.
Connected drawing tools
The existing Sketch+ connection supports a fullscreen drawing canvas in compatible MCP Apps hosts. Its tools can prepare a generation and read saved results; paid generation is approved in your browser. In supporting hosts, Attach to chat supplies an image and drawing context.
The browser is the launch route for this beta. A public ChatGPT marketplace listing and a published Claude installation are not included. Use your existing Sketch+ connection if it is already available.
