Your drawings, keys and generation costs.

Sketch+ is provided by sevenfourone. Contact hello@sevenfourone.studio with privacy questions or requests about your account data. Never include a provider key. This policy covers the Sketch+ application; OpenAI and xAI also apply their own policies to their services.

Sign-in and saved work

Sketch+ uses ChatGPT sign-in to identify your account. Saved drawings, captured scenes and generation records are scoped to that account in the hosted store. Other visitors cannot list, read or change them through the app. Signing out does not delete saved work. This is account separation, not end-to-end encryption.

Drawings and generation records remain in hosted storage; this beta has no automatic deletion schedule or self-service account deletion. Export an editable drawing to keep your own copy. That file includes shapes, camera and captured scenes, but not separate generation jobs or provider media.

Your xAI key

Drawing does not need a generation key. Optional generation sends your approved request through the Sketch+ server to xAI using your key. When you select Check connection, the server sends your key to xAI to read its model list; no sketch or prompt is sent and no generation starts. Connection-check results stay on the current page. Application storage does not persist the key on the server. Platform and provider policies still apply.

Page-only use keeps the key in the current page. Optional Remember stores it in this browser for this Site and signed-in account for up to 30 days. It is not an OS keychain or account sync. Same-origin scripts or someone with this browser profile may be able to read it. Use Forget to remove it from this browser. Revoke or rotate it in your xAI account if needed. Never send a key in chat or a support report.

What generation sends and saves

An approved AI request sends the captured sketch or generated source image, your direction, movement and selected settings to xAI. Saved records include source data, hashes, settings, estimates, approval, provider request identifiers and result metadata or legacy links. Failed attempts may also retain a bounded, redacted provider explanation and the rejected field; raw provider responses are not saved. An image used for a later video is frozen in your account before that video’s approval.

New image requests use base64 output, compatible with xAI Zero Data Retention, and do not ask xAI to host the image. Validated image bytes arrive in the current tab; only the receipt and image hash/type/dimensions are saved automatically. Download saves your own file. Save on this device explicitly keeps an image copy in this browser for this Site and signed-in account; Remove device copy removes that copy. It is not encrypted account sync, and browser-profile or same-origin script access may expose it. Save to my Sketch+ account explicitly uploads a private image copy to the existing hosted store; Remove account copy deletes that image copy. Storage failures do not trigger generation. Copies may be unavailable after tab closure, browser-data removal or storage failure, so download important results. Removing a copy does not delete its receipt or a source already frozen for another request. Existing video and legacy image links can expire. Video under ZDR needs a user-controlled upload destination and is not covered by the base64 image route. Sketch+ does not change your xAI retention policy. Read xAI’s ZDR requirements.

Costs and approval

Optional generation is billed to your xAI account. The panel shows an estimate before you approve; that estimate and its approval amount do not cap the provider’s final invoice. Failed or moderated requests may still be billed. Estimates expire, and generation is blocked when the verified rate card expires.

There is no automatic paid retry. If a submission’s outcome is uncertain, the saved attempt is held for checking. A new image, video or version requires another explicit approval. See current xAI pricing.

About this beta

The browser beta provides drawing, export and optional generation. It does not promise permanent provider-media retention, a support response time or a marketplace installation. The help guide explains saving, recovery and key controls.
